What is a poker bonus?

A Poker bonus is an additional amount that the poker room will add to your real money account after your deposit.

Example:  You deposit $200 into your Bet365 Poker account (create new account here). Bet365 Poker adds a deposit bonus of 100%, up to $500 – if you have inserted the right Bet365 Poker bonus code (COACH). After your $200 deposit, the amount of $200 will appear in your player account immediately. Additionally, another $200 will be booked into your bonus account as pending. You cannot use the bonus money to play at the moment. Every poker room has some sort of points system that rewards every cash game or tournament that you play with a certain number of points, depending either on the rake produced at the cash game table or on the tournament fee added to the buy-in. In order to clear the bonus amount, you have to accumulate a certain number of points. In most cases, the bonus will be released in installments of $5, $10, or $20 each time you have accumulated that specific number of points until you have reached the maximum. Each cleared amount will be transferred from the bonus account into the real money player account.

But most rooms have a time limit to clear this bonus, and after the expiration of that period, your remaining uncleared bonus amount will be deleted.

In order to get the maximum poker bonus, you have to enter the right bonus code when you create your account (and sometimes once again when you make the first deposit). You can find the latest updated bonus codes for the best rooms in the right-hand column of our website. Also, be aware of the fact that in order to use the highest available bonus amount, you must deposit enough funds – so to get the most out of a 100%, up to $500 bonus offer, you would have to deposit a minimum of $500!
