Informations about tournament events

Every poker room wants to offer their players the biggest possible tournaments, because the chance of winning big appeals to every poker player.

Those tournaments very often have a high guaranteed prize money, sometimes higher than a million dollars. Those tournaments are being held once a month or even weekly by some rooms. Some of the real big ones are being offered once in a half year or year.
And then there are the big Series like the ECOOP at Bet365 Poker or SCOOP and WCOOP at Pokerstars.

For all those events, the rooms have a program of qualifiers, by which you can win a seat in the main events through small tournaments and SitnGos with low buy-ins. Sometimes you can even find freerolls to qualify for the big events.
The problem with the qualification events with low or no buy-in is the huge number of participants, which lowers your chances of coming through. So you might consider choosing tournaments where not only the winner wins a ticket, but the first three or five or ten. Or you try the multi-tiered qualification programs like Bet365 Poker or PartyPoker has them.

And then there are those online qualifiers where the winners get a seat in a big land-based tournament (like the WSOP in Las Vegas). You will mostly find those qualifying tournaments under a special tab called “Land-based” or “Live-Events).
